Patrick R. Miller, the Fitness Service Manager here at Gold's Gym Annandale. He has been a personal trainer for 2 in a half years and has more than 13 years experience in organized weight lifting and has competed in sports form the age of 6. He has more than 1000 hours experience coaching CrossFit/Circuit Group Training and one-on-one individualized training where he specializes with Baby boomers. Growing up, he was a three sport athlete in high school and also played collegiate football and golf. Now, he focus's his physical activity on resistance training, circuit/interval training, running/hiking with his chocolate lab, and playing golf. His goal as your fitness service manager is to develop a welcoming environment that helps each and every one of our members achieve their potential through fitness. Kristin has been training men and women ages 14-91 since 2011. She specializes in helping people be the best that they can be, no matter where they are physically, or how old they are when starting out upon their fitness journey. She likes to work with the 50+ community has led to many of her clients being able to walk with reduced knee and hip pain, to keep up with their grandchildren in the yard, and to return to activities that they once loved and had previously brushed aside as beyond their current ability. Her combination of experience in weight and dance training allows her to create programs that result in balance and strength improvements. Many clients who once feared falling now not only enjoy improved coordination, but also the confidence that comes with having the strength to avoid falling in the first place. Kristin understands that people of all ages want to GET HEALTHY, and her focus on lifestyle changes usually leave clients feeling not only stronger, but also lighter, fitter, and more satisfied with their overall well-being. With her emphasis on listening to clients' needs, customizing programs to help them achieve their goals, and expecting them to invest in their training as much as she invests herself, Kristin has helped hundreds of regular people, from East Coast to West, be the best that they can be.

Mark has grown up a native of Alexandria, Virginia and has been a part of competitive sports his whole life. Being a diver and lacrosse player he has experienced sports from the perspective of Individual growth and contributing to a team. He works with his clients to be stronger members of any team they are on, a stronger version of themselves and live a healthier lifestyle. Mark likes working with all age groups but has the most experience training young athletes 16-25 to take their abilities to the next level. Outside of the gym Mark coaches high school lacrosse, plays golf and spends his time in front of a grill or prepping meals in his kitchen. Mark is a firm believer that age is a state of mind, and that if you want to live well, you live right. He works with his clients to show them how personal fitness, nutrition and stress reduction can make for a longer healthier life.

"Having grown up in a world of activity and organized sport - my family had me skiing, hiking, playing baseball and camping from the age of 4. This active lifestyle continued throughout high school where I competed on 5 different teams and then in college where I continued to play field hockey and started a new sport, Lacrosse - later becoming a high school and collegiate coach. Weight training was a staple to my active lifestyle until age 30 when I was diagnosed with a Congenital heart disease, dramatically changing my life forever. I feel that my early active lifestyle saved my life and has allowed me to build a strong body, all the while conquering a ruptured disk and beating breast cancer. I truly believe that activity and a strong foundation will help every human being live a longer and more productive life.
I became a group fitness instructor in 2005 and started individual personal training in 2007. My niche is small group training of 3-5 people, as it keeps training personal while making it fun and more accessible financially.
I love what I do because I get to help our youth excel at sport while also reducing and/or eliminating medication, preventing injuries, and overcoming injuries. When training with me, you can guarantee a different and challenging workout each time that will have you guessing what we will be doing next. This differentiated approach will keep it up beat and enthusiastic and have you coming back for more. In my other life, I remain involved in hs and college sports as a photographer, while also specializing in hs senior portrait photography. One of my greatest accomplishments as an adult was completing the AVON 39 mile walk despite my health issues. "

Jennifer graduated from Virginia Tech in 2014 with a degree in Psychology and worked as a victim service professional until deciding to change career paths to follow her passion for health and fitness by becoming a personal trainer. Jennifer specializes in weight management and has a deep appreciation for the psychological and physiological struggles associated with weight loss. It is Jennifer's firm belief that proper nutrition is the most powerful medicine and exercise is the most underutilized antidepressant. This training philosophy makes Jennifer a very unique trainer to our team and one that strives to help her clients create a healthier, happier life. As a former pole vaulter, Jennifer also has a special interest in strength, power, speed, endurance, and hypertrophic training.
